Facebook ad prices increase by 74% as demand soars
The cost of advertising on Facebook is rising fast as more and more large brands allocate greater marketing resources to their online efforts. A report published today by TBG Digital, an independent marketing firm specialising in Facebook advertising campaigns, suggests that the average Facebook ad CPC (cost per click) rate increased by 74% in the past 12 months.

A News International website has been hacked and an article published claiming that Rupert Murdoch's body has been found in his garden. The website new-times.co.uk, a News International property, shows a replica of The Sun website and an unfounded article titled "Media moguls body discovered".

Twitter’s latest DM scam; How to protect yourself and followers
Another scam has become rampant on Twitter over the past few days, with a spat of direct messages being unlawfully sent via hi-jacked Twitter accounts. The majority of messages read "guaranteed. make $3,000 to $8,000 a month from home" or similar, and it's well advised that follow-through links within not be clicked.

Netflix planning European launch in early 2012
On-demand internet video streaming service Netflix has plans to expand to Europe, according to a Variety report. Variety quote "leading European film distributors" confirming Netflix's plans to introduce its service in both Spain and the UK as early as spring 2012.

92% of all internet searches in the UK come from Google
Google accounts for 92% of all internet searches in the UK, the latest figures from Experian Hitwise confirm. While Google's search dominance in the UK, and indeed the world, is well documented, last month saw the internet giant breach unprecedented levels of UK market penetration, now at 92.02%.

Canadian photographers at 2D Photography Inc. have created an amazing giant Rube Goldberg machine using their 2,500sq. ft. photographic studio and equipment. The project took six months from conception to completion, with the entire scene shot in a single take.
