iPad HD to be introduced alongside iPhone 5 this autumn
A high definition (HD) version of the iPad 2 will be released this autumn alongside the long-rumoured iPhone 5, if reports from This is my next (TiMN) are to be believed. TiMN report that the updated device, dubbed “iPad HD”, will feature a 2048x1536 pixel screen, double that of the current iPad 2.

Google+ business profiles coming “later this year”
Google has revealed that they are currently working on a version of Google+ for brands and businesses that will debut “later this year”. While many major brands are keen to join Google+, itself only one week into private beta, Google are actively discouraging businesses from using regular Google+ profiles, stating that an “optimal experience” for brands and organisations is on its way.

Sony planning major PSN rebrand to counteract fallout from infamous hacking outage
Sony is reportedly redesigning its PlayStation Network (PSN) user interface as part of a major rebranding operation to counteract the fallout from a month-long network outage. The outage began in April of this year after hackers gained access to PSN servers and potentially compromised the personal details of 77 million users.

Sony Music Ireland website hacked, claims two members of The Script commit suicide
Sony Music Ireland’s website appears to have been hacked earlier this morning after three unlikely stories were published on the news section of the website. One story claimed that Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan from The Script committed suicide after their gig at the Aviva Stadium last Saturday, while another claimed scientists have proved that watching the X Factor decreases one’s “Intelligence Quote (sic)”.

Consumer electronics giant Apple are to create up to 350 new jobs in Cork, Ireland, after agreeing to lease offices in Cork’s city centre, according to the Irish Examiner. The new offices, on Cork’s Half Moon Street, constitue 25,000sq. ft. and may accommodate up to 350 workers.
