Growing up in a digital age undoubtedly profoundly influences a child’s life. They quickly gain expectations of how things should work. As conveyed in this video, however, it’s not always that easy for them to distinguish between digital and analogue technologies. For the child in this video, the magazine is simply a disfunctioning iPad.
This is a consequence of growing up in the digital world; a digital native. The child doesn’t necessarily see a distinguish between the magazine and a digital object – after all, to her, why should there be?
The video is somewhat dedicated to the late Steve Jobs, with a message near the end reading, “Steve Jobs has encoded a part of her OS”.
