Detailed renderings of Apple's new circular HQ in Cupertino, California
The official website for the city of Cupertino, California has posted new renderings of Apple's planned circular headquarters, first revealed in June of this year. The building, officially known as "Apple Campus 2", will house 12,000 Apple employees in a single four-story circular structure that is due completed by 2015.

Amazon launches Kindle Cloud Reader to bypass Apple's App Store restrictions
Amazon today, Wednesday, unveiled the Kindle Cloud Reader, an HTML5-based version of their Kindle book reader app that works on Chrome for Mac, Windows and Chrome OS, and on Safari for Mac, Windows and most notably the iPad.

iPhone users almost twice as likely as Android users to click on ads
According to a report by US-based mobile ad company Jumptap, iPhone users are almost twice as likely to click on ads than their Android counterparts. The average ad click-through rate (CTR) for Android users is just below the 0.52% industry average at 0.47%, while iPhone users are well above the average at 0.78%.

Instagram hits 150 million uploads in less than one year
Instagram, the hugely popular iPhone photo app, has recorded 150 million photo uploads since it launched last October. Out of those 150 million photos uploaded, 120 million have had filters applied.

Skype launches official iPad app, pulls it from App Store hours later
Earlier today Skype launched their official iPad app only to pull it from the App Store hours later. Skype rather dubiously explained via Twitter that the iPad app had simply gone live "prematurely".

Apple to buy on-demand video giant Hulu?
Apple is reportedly considering making a bid for Hulu, the on-demand TV show and movie streaming service, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg quote two people "who weren't authorized to speak publicly" that Apple are in early talks with Hulu, and may eventually make an offer for the video giant.

New Apple Macbook Air and Mac Pro models coming this Thursday?
Four new Macbook Air and four new Mac Pro models may be introduced to the Apple store this Thursday, if reports by 9to5Mac transpire. Both device lines are expected to be powered by Intel Sandy Bridge processors and include Thunderbolt ports to support high-resolution displays and ultra fast data transfer.

A high definition (HD) version of the iPad 2 will be released this autumn alongside the long-rumoured iPhone 5, if reports from This is my next (TiMN) are to be believed. TiMN report that the updated device, dubbed “iPad HD”, will feature a 2048x1536 pixel screen, double that of the current iPad 2.

Apple to create up to 350 new jobs in Ireland
Consumer electronics giant Apple are to create up to 350 new jobs in Cork, Ireland, after agreeing to lease offices in Cork’s city centre, according to the Irish Examiner. The new offices, on Cork’s Half Moon Street, constitue 25,000sq. ft. and may accommodate up to 350 workers.
