- Less than 2% of Android devices are tablets In the latest platform versions report from Android Developers, Honeycomb, the tablet-only version of Android has scored disappointingly, accounting for only 1.8% of all Android devices. Compare this to Apple's 250 million iOS devices, substantially more than 1.8% of those are iPads.
- Android 2.2 overtakes 2.1 in version statistics for the first time Google have updated their Android platform versions chart with Android 2.2 (Froyo) overtaking Android 2.1 (Eclair) for the first time. In fact, 83% of Android phones are now 2.1 or above, showing a welcome further decline in the fragmentation that once plagued the platform.
