Google Earth imagery update helps uncover part of Scotland's hidden heritage
The Google Earth and Google Maps team published an imagery update earlier today which, as usual, contains some really interesting sites. Ireland is not featured is this update, but large parts of Scotland and England, among others, are.

Microsoft's Streetside coming to European cities soon
Streetside, Microsoft's answer to Google Street View, has begun to gather street level imagery in Europe. Microsoft's Streetview service currently only exists in fifty-six US cities.

Google releases imagery update in Google Earth
The Google LatLong team have released an imagery update which is available now in Google Earth and Google Maps. The update is extensive and includes high resolution aerial imagery updates for Australia, Japan, Scotland, Wales and the US, and satellite imagery updates for eighty-five countries, including large parts of Ireland.

Explore the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin with Google Street View
Last year Google made available 80,000 kilometres of panoramic imagery of Irish streets and roads to access freely in Google Street View. Along with the Google car, Google utilised the Trike to capture difficult, inaccessible areas of special interest. Today we see one such release as images of the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin are introduced, allowing path-by-path exploration of the beautiful plant collection.

Fresh Irish imagery updates in Google Earth
Following on with their monthly imagery update cycles, the Google Earth and Google Maps Imagery team have released another high-resolution aerial and satellite imagery update that again includes areas of Ireland, and in particular Derry/Londonderry, Mayo, Meath, Sligo, and Tyrone.

Google demos new Google Maps on Nexus S
Google have released a demo video of Google Maps 5 on the upcoming and much anticipated Nexus S. The Nexus S is the first phone to run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which was released at the start of this week.

Ireland receives high resolution imagery updates in Google Earth
Google have just released a small amount of high resolution aerial and satellite imagery of Ireland. The imagery is only available to view in Google Earth but will be expanded to Google Maps “soon”.
