Now you can add Google+ updates to your email signature
WiseStamp, an email signature service that enhances once plain email signatures with personal social profiles and other content, has added Google Plus to its list of supported partners. WiseStamp exists as a Firefox, Chrome, Thunderbird, Flock and Safari extension and works with all major webmail services like Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail and AOL.

Google Earth imagery update helps uncover part of Scotland's hidden heritage
The Google Earth and Google Maps team published an imagery update earlier today which, as usual, contains some really interesting sites. Ireland is not featured is this update, but large parts of Scotland and England, among others, are.

Google plans to "supercharge" Android with €8.73 billion Motorola acquisition
Google has today announced that they've entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Motorola Mobility for €8.73 billion ($12.5 billion). If approved, this would be Google's largest ever acquisition, four times that of the $3.1 billion paid for DoubleClick in March 2008.

Google Chrome gets Instant Pages
Google Instant Pages has been rolled out to users of Chrome 13 stable, a feature that was previously only available in Chrome beta. Instant Pages enables certain web pages to be loaded almost instantly by preloading Google Search results that are mostly likely to be clicked.

Google has a healthy obsession with speed. Two years ago they released the Page Speed browser extension, and earlier this year they introduced the Page Speed Online API. Now Google have released another addition to the Page Speed family: Page Speed Service.

Apple to buy on-demand video giant Hulu?
Apple is reportedly considering making a bid for Hulu, the on-demand TV show and movie streaming service, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg quote two people "who weren't authorized to speak publicly" that Apple are in early talks with Hulu, and may eventually make an offer for the video giant.

Although only a little over two weeks old at this stage, Google+ has already surpassed 10 million users who share one billion items every day, according to Google's CEO Larry Page.

92% of all internet searches in the UK come from Google
Google accounts for 92% of all internet searches in the UK, the latest figures from Experian Hitwise confirm. While Google's search dominance in the UK, and indeed the world, is well documented, last month saw the internet giant breach unprecedented levels of UK market penetration, now at 92.02%.

Google’s Photovine website is live, details of new photo-sharing service emerge
The website for Google's new mysterious photo-sharing service, Photovine, is now live. Although no product or mobile app is available yet to use, the landing page and privacy policy and support pages do give some insights into what we can expect from the service when it launches.

Google+ business profiles coming “later this year”
Google has revealed that they are currently working on a version of Google+ for brands and businesses that will debut “later this year”. While many major brands are keen to join Google+, itself only one week into private beta, Google are actively discouraging businesses from using regular Google+ profiles, stating that an “optimal experience” for brands and organisations is on its way.
