Google and Samsung teamed-up early this morning in Hong Kong to unveil the first smartphone designed for Android 4.0 - the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich is the ninth release of Android and marks the third anniversary of the HTC Dream, the first ever Android phone.

Google proves the secret to success is failure, 36% of the time
The secret to Google's success is in its failures. According to some nice research undertaken by The Next Web, 36% of all Google products since 1998 have failed. Out of a total of 251 independent Google products launched since then, 90 have subsequently been shelved, while the rest remain operational.

YouTube has announced plans to allow artists to begin selling merchandise, music and concert tickets directly within their own YouTube channel. The video sharing site also revealed that they receive a massive 800 million visits per month.

Less than 2% of Android devices are tablets
In the latest platform versions report from Android Developers, Honeycomb, the tablet-only version of Android has scored disappointingly, accounting for only 1.8% of all Android devices. Compare this to Apple's 250 million iOS devices, substantially more than 1.8% of those are iPads.

Chrome set to overtake Firefox in two months, Internet Explorer by June 2012
