- Dublin gets an alternative angle with new 45° aerial imagery Google Maps has released an update this week that includes 45° imagery of 26 new cities and locations in Europe and the United States, including Dublin City.
- Explore tsunami-affected Japan with Google Street View The Street View team announced in July of this year plans to digitally archive the areas most affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11th. Today, they've published over 44,000 kilometres of 360-degree panoramic imagery, available to explore in Google Street View or through a specially dedicated website known as "Building the Memory".
- Microsoft's Streetside coming to European cities soon Streetside, Microsoft's answer to Google Street View, has begun to gather street level imagery in Europe. Microsoft's Streetview service currently only exists in fifty-six US cities.
- Google releases imagery update in Google Earth The Google LatLong team have released an imagery update which is available now in Google Earth and Google Maps. The update is extensive and includes high resolution aerial imagery updates for Australia, Japan, Scotland, Wales and the US, and satellite imagery updates for eighty-five countries, including large parts of Ireland.
- Fresh Irish imagery updates in Google Earth Following on with their monthly imagery update cycles, the Google Earth and Google Maps Imagery team have released another high-resolution aerial and satellite imagery update that again includes areas of Ireland, and in particular Derry/Londonderry, Mayo, Meath, Sligo, and Tyrone.
