Microsoft unveils multi-touch mouse
Almost two years after Apple introduced the Magic Mouse, Microsoft has unveiled their new Touch Mouse. The multi-touch mouse functions as a normal mouse, but also allows users to perform certain tasks on Windows 7 using fingertip gestures on the mouse's capacitive surface.

Apple to buy on-demand video giant Hulu?
Apple is reportedly considering making a bid for Hulu, the on-demand TV show and movie streaming service, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg quote two people "who weren't authorized to speak publicly" that Apple are in early talks with Hulu, and may eventually make an offer for the video giant.

Skype confirm $8.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft
Tony Bates, CEO of Skype, has confirmed in a blog post on the Skype website that Microsoft will acquire the internet voice and video phone service for $8.5 billion. When the acquisition is complete, Skype will become a new business division of Microsoft.

Streetside, Microsoft's answer to Google Street View, has begun to gather street level imagery in Europe. Microsoft's Streetview service currently only exists in fifty-six US cities.

Microsoft to introduce NFC mobile payment technology into Windows Mobile
Microsoft are rumoured to have plans to introduce near-field communication, or NFC, technology into future versions of their Windows Mobile operating system. According to sources familiar to the plan, the first Windows Mobile devices with NFC enabled may be released later this year.
