PlayStation Network services will resume in “a few more days”
Exactly three weeks after the initial suspension of PlayStation Network services, no exact restoration date has yet been confirmed to eager gamers. Instead, an update on the European PlayStation blog states that restoration will take “at least a few more days”.

New improved PlayStation Network may introduce cross-game chat and in-game video chat
As gamers eagerly await the restoration of PlayStation Network (PSN) services in “the coming days”, many forecast additional new features and improvements that may launch with the “new” PSN. When full gaming services resume, a massive PSN update may introduce an improved XMB (the PS3 user interface and menu system), cross-game chat and in-game video chat.

Sony to announce PlayStation Network restoration date on Sunday, hints at compensation deal
Sony will announce findings of its internal probe into last week’s massive network security breach and a possible services restoration date tomorrow Sunday May 01. The Japanese consumer electronics giant declared earlier today that it would hold a press conference tomorrow where further details concerning the historic outage will be announced, including the possibility that 2.2 million PSN users’ encrypted credit card details have been stolen.

Sony confirms hackers are responsible for PlayStation Network outage
Sony have posted an update to their European PlayStation blog confirming that hackers are to blame for the on-going PlayStation Network (PSN) outage. The outage, which is affecting 70 million PlayStation and PSP users, has disrupted game-play and various media features like music and movie streaming on the network since Wednesday evening.

Prolonged PlayStation Network outage enters second day
Sony PlayStation 3 owners are experiencing a prolonged PlayStation Network (PSN) outage that has more persisted for more than twenty-four hours in multiple regions, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. The outage which is affecting more than 70 million PS3 and PSP owners may persist until tomorrow, a update on the European PlayStation blog states.

Will Sony introduce serial keys to combat PS3 game piracy?
According to Dutch gaming site PS3-Sense, Sony may introduce serial keys along with PS3 games in an effort to combat a recent spate of successful console hacks. Last month the PS3 root key was revealed, potentially allowing PS3 users to authenticate their own pirated games.

BBC iPlayer viewership increases significantly, particularly on the PS3

First look at the RTÉ Player for PS3
