- RTÉ Player now includes Live TV streaming RTÉ Player has today updated its free online video catch-up service to enable live streaming of channels RTÉ One, RTÉ Two, and RTÉ News Now. It’s not yet understood if all programming will be made available, but this certainly is a welcome move from our national broadcaster.
- RTÉ to cut up to 60 jobs RTÉ have announced today that between 50 and 60 jobs will be axed due to the companies current undesirable “financial situation”. RTÉ management informed unions this morning that voluntary redundancy and early retirement schemes were being prepared.
- RTÉ launch iPad specific RTÉ News Now app RTÉ have today launched an iPad specific version of their popular RTÉ News Now application already available on Android and iOS devices. This app exists independent of the original iOS News Now app and is tailored specifically for the Apple iPad.
