- iPhone 5 may include an 8-megapixel camera built by Sony Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer may have inadvertently admitted that Sony image sensors will be used in the iPhone 5. In an interview with Walt Mossberg from the Wall Street Journal the Sony chief stated, possibly accidentally, that image sensors manufactured in Sony’s Japanese factories on their way to Apple may be delayed as a result of last month’s massive earthquake and tsunami.

- Android 2.2 overtakes 2.1 in version statistics for the first time Google have updated their Android platform versions chart with Android 2.2 (Froyo) overtaking Android 2.1 (Eclair) for the first time. In fact, 83% of Android phones are now 2.1 or above, showing a welcome further decline in the fragmentation that once plagued the platform.
