- Microsoft's Streetside coming to European cities soon Streetside, Microsoft's answer to Google Street View, has begun to gather street level imagery in Europe. Microsoft's Streetview service currently only exists in fifty-six US cities.
- Google fined €100,000 by French privacy watchdog Google have received their first fine for illegally gathering and storing users’ personal data while using Google Street View vehicles. Google “mistakenly” gathered data from unsecured personal WiFi networks in more than thirty countries, including Ireland - something which was officially admitted to in October 2010.

- Bertie Ahern caught on Street View Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has reportedly been caught on Google Street View. The images were taken in early summer of 2009 so presumably Ahern is busy canvassing for the 2009 Irish local elections.
