- British internet providers forced to block certain torrent sites in court order The London High Court has ordered that major UK Internet service providers (ISPs) block access to three specific torrent sites that allegedly offer links to pirated material.
- Google Shopping will begin paid-for transition this February Google Shopping is beginning its transition to a commercial model in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, and Switzerland next month - a transition that was completed in the United States in October 2012 - meaning that, for the first time, merchants in said 10 countries must pay to have their products listed on Google Shopping.
